Synopsis

While early retired Hubert Lotzmann is fighting the closing of the local wave pool with lifeguard Achmed, he fails to remember the 70th birthday of his wife Annemarie. When he also breaks the family hoover by sucking in his wife’s beloved budgie, Annemarie issues an ultimatum: Hubert has two hours until dinner time, if he hasn’t returned with a repaired hoover by then, he is out on the street! Panic-stricken Hubert has no choice and sets off, getting into entanglements beyond his imagination that even make him look like a terrorist – to finally become the celebrated hero of the city.
